Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.

The term "Theos" (Θεός) is the Greek word for God or the Divine. In Esoteric philosophy, particularly within Theosophy (derived from Theos, meaning God or Divine, and Sophia, meaning Wisdom), it does not refer to a personalized, anthropomorphic deity. Instead, it represents the Absolute, Unknowable, and Unchangeable Principle—the Ultimate Source of All Existence that resides Entirely Beyond the Limits of Finite Human Thought and Speculation.
The Boundless Source: Theos is the fundamental Unity of All Life. It is the Unmanifested, Infinite root from which the Entire Universe cyclically emanates during periods of Cosmic Creation, and to which everything eventually returns.
Immanence and Transcendence: All Consciousness and physical matter proceed from this Single Divine Reality and share a common, underlying Life. Therefore, the Divine is both Transcendent (Existing Infinitely beyond the material Universe) and Immanent (residing Deep Within the Center of Every Living Being as the Divine Spark).
The Unmoved Mover: In Hermetic and classical Greek philosophy, Theos acts as the First Cause. It is the silent, Perfect Potential from which All dynamic motion, sacred geometry, and Cosmic Laws originate, while remaining perfectly still and Complete Within Itself.
The Goal of the Adept: The ultimate aim of the Great Work, Spiritual Alchemy, and the study of Esoteric symbology is to purify the lower human constitution. This Purification allows the Individual Consciousness to reunite with Theos, dissolving the illusion of separation and Realizing the fundamental Oneness of the Cosmos.
