God is ALL in All

This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.

"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."

"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."

The Flammarion Engraving by Camille Flammarion

One of the most widely recognized and profound visual representations of Esoteric Philosophy. First appearing in Camille Flammarion's 1888 work L'Atmosphère, the wood engraving depicts a Seeker who has traveled to the very edge of the earth and pushed his head through the dome of the Starry Cosmos to discover the Inner workings of the Universe. The image serves as a Master Key to Understanding the Hermetic relationship between the Microcosm and the Macrocosm, capturing the precise moment an Individual pierces the Veil of the material Illusion to Consciously witness the Hidden, mechanical Workings of the Infinite Mind.

The motto, at the bottom of the frame, written in Latin "MENTE SUPERATUR" and "OCCVLTVM REVELATVR" are the idea of uncovering Esoteric or Spiritual Knowledge, roughly translates to: "By Seeking the Truth, the Mind is Overcome, and the Hidden is Revealed.”

At the top center of the frame it has an ancient phrase that comes from the Emerald Tablet (attributed to Hermes Trismegistus) - "As Above, So Below" - meaning the Microcosm (single human) is created in the image of the Macrocosm (Entire Universe).

"And God said, let us make man in Our Image…," "So, God Created man in His Own Image…" - Genesis 1:26-27 (Spirit becoming a Physical Manifestation)

Everything in Existence is deeply connected by identical underlying Divine Active Forces, Energies, and Patterns of Change suggesting that changes in the stars and planets reflect changes on Earth (astrology) and that an individual's Internal Mental State shapes their External Reality. There is no separation between the Spiritual Realm (Above) and the physical realm (Below).

The Seeker physically bridges the gap by peeking through the "Below" (the physical earth) looking directly into the "Above" (the Cosmic Spiritual Wheels within Wheels of the Universe).

The Cosmic Wheels, the strange nested wheels inside the Golden Cosmic Engine, in the upper left corner (The astronomical belief that a Spherical, unmoving Earth lies at the Focal Point of the Universe.) is the Visual Representation of the Infinite Universal Mind. It demonstrates the First Hermetic Principle of Mentalism: the physical earth inside the dome is merely a Mental Creation operating inside the vast, mechanical engine of the Infinite Universal Mind. The interlocking wheels represent the underlying framework of Existence—the Eternal Laws of Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, and Cause and Effect. By piercing the Veil, the Seeker has ceased to be an unconscious victim of these turning wheels and has instead achieved True Spiritual Sovereignty, gazing directly into the very Mind of the Creator. These Cosmic Wheels represent a blend of astronomical mapping and Ezekiel's biblical "wheel within a wheel" vision. The Wheel Within a Wheel are wheels nested inside one another that can move in any direction without turning. The rims of these nested wheels are described as being covered in Rings of Eyes as Cosmic Consciousness (Divine Omniscience) all the way around. The All-Seeing Eyes of God or the Universe show that the Cosmos is a Living, Conscious Entity.

The Stars in the Heavens were often described as "Eyes" looking down on the Earth from the Highest Crystal Spheres. As the Seeker sticks his head through the veil, the Eyes match his Own Awakening. He is no longer just looking at the Universe; the Universe is looking back at him.

These wheels represent the Primum Mobile (the outermost Sphere of Creation). Their mechanically spinning motion drives the rotation of All of the lower planetary Spheres below them. A complex interlocking machine that shows the Universe runs on Perfect Mathematical and Divine Geometry.

The Latin text segments trace the traditional layers of the Universe from the physical world up to the Spiritual Realm.

ELEMENTVM (The Element Realm) sits closest to the clouds of the earthly plane. This is the sublunary Sphere (everything below the Moon) that is bound to change, decay, and the mixing of the four physical elements (Fire, Air, Water, and Earth).

PRIMVM MOBILE (The First Moved) was the outermost moving Sphere being turned directly by the Divine. Its motion sets all of the Inner planetary Spheres (like Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars) into a 24-hour rotation around the Earth.

COELVM EMPYREVM (The Empyrean Sky / Highest Heaven) located in the bright, golden, outermost wheel, a realm of pure fire and light, the true dwelling place of the Divine, existing beyond physical time, space, and the moving planetary tracks.

The sides of the frame contain symbols for classical elements, planets, and alchemical concepts.

On the left side is the "Planetary Realms," the symbols match ancient Roman gods and traditional astrological associations:

Saturn - Discipline, Time, and Lead.

Jupiter - Growth, Wisdom, and Tin.

Mars - Energy, War, and Iron.

Sol - Sun, Gold, and Vitality.

Venus - Beauty, Love, and Copper.

Mercury - Communication, Travel, and Quicksilver.

Luna - Moon, Silver, and Intuition.

On the right side is the "Elements and Essences," the symbols outline Primordial Energies and Elemental Manifestations.

Fire - Heat and Dry Forces

Air - Warmth and Wet Forces.

Water - Cold and Wet Forces.

Earth - Cold and Dry Forces.

VITRIOL - Transformation Processes - an old alchemical acronym - Visita Interiora Terrae Rectificando Invenies Occultum Lapidem ("Visit the interior of the earth, and by rectifying you will find the hidden stone").

Alchemia - Process and Practice of Transformation Itself.

Spiritus - Vital Life Force or Breath connecting the Physical and Spiritual.

In the lower-left and lower-right corners are two of Alchemy's Three Primes.

Salt (Left) - Body, Physical Matter, Stability.

Mercury (Right) - Mind, Fluidity, Volatility.

The Sun and Moon are directly on the right side of the Inner Sky (just below the Cosmic Wheels), they are anthropomorphized with human faces to show they possess a Conscious, Living Spirit. They represent the Alchemical Dualism (The Red King and White Queen), the Core Polarities that Govern Existence.

The Sun (Sol) "Red King" represents the masculine principle; daytime, heat, and the element of Fire, symbolizing Gold, the Active Conscious Mind in the Great Work (Magnum Opus),

The Moon (Luna) "White Queen" represents the feminine principle; nighttime, cold, and the element of Water, symbolizing Silver, the Intuition, and the Vast Unconscious Mind.

The Sun and Moon face one another within the same sky space representing the Union of Opposites, Spiritual Enlightenment requires Balancing these Opposing Internal Forces. They belong strictly to the Inner side of the veil, within the regular physical sky that humans look at every day. When the Seeker crawls through the edge of the sky, he leaves the cyclic, predictable world of the Sun and Moon behind. He steps into a completely different Dimension governed by Pure Energy and Divine Cosmic Machinery.

The trees on the earthly side are intentionally made to look like the "Philosophical Tree" a highly symbolic image, not a normal forest because plant growth is a metaphor for Spiritual Growth. Just as a seed must rot in the dark dirt to grow into a tall tree, the Mind must undergo difficult Transformation before Achieving Enlightenment. The tree Roots in the Earth and the Branches in the Heavens physically anchor the ground to the sky. Their roots drink from the physical world, and their tops reach toward the Celestial borders. Nature naturally bridges both worlds, "As Above, So Below."

There is a stark visual contrast with the Cosmic Machinery; the organic, soft, flowing shapes of the forest and the hard, metallic, intermeshing gears and wheels found just past the veil. It shows the Seeker leaving behind the familiar Laws of biology and nature to witness the raw, abstract geometry of Creation. He is the central mystery of the image, wearing a robe and carrying a staff. The Seeker peeking through the veil can be seen in different views, his identity shifts depending on how you look at the artwork, but it doesn't matter exactly what you see, they are all Seekers traveling a long path toward the Truth.

The Spiritual Seeker as a Pilgram wearing a long tunic, a heavy cloak, and carrying a walking staff may make you see a medieval Christian Pilgrim walking a Holy trail representing humanity on a Spiritual Journey who has traveled to the absolute "edge of the world" to find a Deeper Truth that lies beyond physical Reality.

The Spiritual Seeker as a Student of Natural Philosophy (a Scientist) such as an astronomer, is using observation and curiosity to break past the superstition of a solid sky to discover how the Universe actually works.

The Spiritual Seeker as a Monk or Mystic who prayed for Divine Guidance, his simple robes look like a monastic habit, and his haircut resembles a monk's tonsure (shaved head), representing an Initiate being Enlightened by leaving the material church behind to experience a Direct, Personal Revelation of the Divine Cosmic Engine.

The Seeker peeking through the solid sky perfectly symbolizes that human sensory perception captures only a Tiny Sliver of Reality. A brave pilgrim who crawls past the comfortable Boundaries of Accepted Knowledge to look directly into the Hidden Mechanics of Creation.

The Living Vast Universe is designed entirely to support Conscious Souls, (Immortal Spiritual Energy Entities) possessing a "Psychic Force" capable of Mentally (Mind exists Independently of the brain) Communicating by the process of Thought throughout the Cosmos.
