God is ALL in All

This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.

"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."

"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."

The Three Temptations

The Initiation in the Wilderness and the Mastery of the Lower Self

The biblical narrative of Jesus fasting for forty days in the wilderness and being tempted by Satan is classically interpreted as a historical demonstration of his Divine resilience against evil. However, in the esoteric tradition, this narrative is a profound alchemical allegory representing the Universal Trials of the initiate. The "wilderness" is the barren landscape of the Unawakened human Mind, and "Satan" is not an external demonic entity, but the personification of the lower animal ego. The Three Temptations represent the essential tests every Seeker must pass to achieve Mastery over the Physical, Emotional, and Mental planes before the Christos Consciousness can be fully activated.

The First Temptation (Stones to Bread)

"And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." - Matthew 4:3-4

The First Temptation coming from the side of evil is generally that of Power. The Devil says: "Command and demand all that you need. You are not sick or hungry. You are The Christ, therefore command that the earth (which karmic law has bereft of Soul-nourishment and Spiritual satisfaction) shall be turned into bread to satisfy your physical wants." This is the esoteric test of Utilizing Divine Power for personal, material gain, even though the very eating thereof Binds You Tighter to the Wheel of Physical Existence. It is the Temptation to Drag Higher Spiritual Energies Down to serve lower physical appetites, turning the stones of the material plane into the bread of transient satisfaction rather than Relying on the Sustaining Word of the Universal Mind.

To fully grasp what it means to Rely on the Sustaining Word (the LOGOS) of the Universal Mind, one must Recognize that there is only One Mind—the Infinite Universal Mind, which is the First Cause of All Things. It is not a distant Deity, but the Underlying Force and Consciousness that intricately Permeates Every Cell of Your Being. Esoterically, the "Word" represents Divine Thought and Will in active manifestation. The Temptation is to panic and use newly Awakened, Sacred Spiritual Powers to Force a material result out of desperation. Giving in to this means operating from a mindset of fear, lack, and separation, believing that physical matter is what truly sustains Life. Relying on the Sustaining Word means passing this test by Demonstrating Absolute, Unwavering Faith in your Spiritual Source. It is the Ultimate Declaration of Spiritual Mastery: choosing to trust the Eternal, Invisible Support of the Divine over the temporary, visible comforts of the physical world, knowing that your Mental Attitude and Confidence act as a magnet that naturally Attracts Everything you Need without Forcing the physical elements out of panic.

The Second Temptation (Pinnacle of the Temple)

"Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone." - Matthew 4:5-7

The Second Temptation comes in the form of Self-Righteousness. The Devil takes the hungry Soul up into a High Place, upon the very pinnacle of the Temple (which esoterically symbolizes the human body and the personal ego), and there showeth how the Soul has conquered the flesh, growing holier than others by the control of the lower appetites. It reveals how the initiate has reached the gates of the Holy City and has become a guide and example for many less holy and less pure followers. Then the Devil declares: "Thou, if thou be the Son of God (or if thou be The Christ as you have affirmed), cast thyself down; for you can do what a lesser Soul could not do without sin." This insidious voice whispers that which would be sin in one not placed upon so high a pinnacle of the Temple within the Holy City is for you but a certain license earned because of your holiness. Therefore, you can do that which would be sin in others.

The Essence of this Trial lies in Overcoming the Ultimate trap of Spiritual Pride—the Illusion that Advanced Spiritual Status grants one Immunity from Universal Law. The pinnacle of the Temple symbolizes the highest point of the personal ego, inflated by its own perceived holiness and Self-Mastery. The tempter urges the initiate to cast themselves down, suggesting that their Elevated State exempts them from the Natural Laws of Cause and Effect, such as gravity or Karmic Consequence. This is a profound test of Humility. True Spiritual Advancement does not mean breaking or bending the Universal Laws to show off one's Divine favor; rather, it requires Complete and Perfect Obedience to those Laws. To throw oneself down is to demand that the Divine intervene to save the ego from its own reckless arrogance. The Master understands that having attained the Heights of Spiritual Understanding, they are more, not less, Bound by the Harmony of Universal Law, and that True Power lies in Aligning with these Laws, not defying them for a display of vanity.

The Third Temptation (The Kingdoms of the World)

"Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."

- Matthew 4:8-10

The Third Temptation is one of Ambition. This only comes to the Soul who has reached the mountains of Spiritual Understanding. The neophyte has painfully climbed the mountain, has entered the Silence, has heard the Voice and seen with his Spiritual Eye. He has gained certain Psychic Powers, and lo! All the Kingdoms of the world and the glory thereof are spread before his sight. His evil genius points out that by his Awakened Psychic Powers he can gain the whole world; that men will bow down to him and give him fame and glory because he is a little in advance of the average; that he can charge large sums for interviews, psychic readings, etc.; can be feted and honored and listened to by the multitude; can be heralded from place to place, be interviewed by the newspapers and receive much public acclaim. All of which is a very real and terrible temptation, and one which only those who have actually stood upon the "exceeding high mountain" and in their Soul vision have actually seen the kingdoms of the world at their feet, who have heard the tempter say: "All these Things will I give thee if thou wilt fall down and worship me," can understand or appreciate. For this Temptation cannot come until the neophyte has approached the mountain's top.

This final Trial represents the Ultimate Crossroad: the final choice between Serving the Infinite Light or Worshiping the Illusion of the separate, Glorified Self. The "exceeding high mountain" represents the zenith of human Spiritual Achievement, where the initiate's psychic and Mental faculties are fully Awakened, granting them immense potential influence over the material world. The tempter—the ego's darkest shadow—offers the entire world, with all its wealth, fame, and adoration, in exchange for Worship. To Worship this shadow is to use Divine Gifts for Selfish Ambition, exploiting Spiritual Knowledge for personal aggrandizement, financial gain, and the adulation of the masses. It is the Temptation to separate oneself from the Universal Mind in order to Reign Supreme as an isolated, glorified individual. Overcoming this Temptation requires the Realization that all worldly kingdoms and glories are Transient Illusions. The true Student rejects the Temptation of the separate self, choosing instead to Remain a Pure, Unselfish channel for the Infinite Light, dedicated to the Universal Good rather than personal ambition.

Get thee hence, Satan

"Then Jesus saith unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve." - Matthew 4:10

The Esoteric Meaning of Matthew 4:10

In orthodox Christianity, this verse is typically understood as a literal conversation where Jesus dismisses a physical, demonic entity. However, within the Esoteric Traditions and the Christian Mysteries, this verse represents the triumphant climax of the Third Temptation—the Ultimate Alchemical test of the Awakened Soul.

Here is the Esoteric and Philosophical breakdown of this verse:

The Illusion of the Glorified Self ("Satan") In this context, "Satan" does not represent an external deity of evil, but rather the personification of the lower animal ego and the illusion of the separate self. The temptation leading up to this verse involves being offered "all the kingdoms of the world"—a metaphor for using newly Awakened Spiritual Powers, psychic faculties, or Divine Gifts for selfish ambition, financial gain, and the adulation of the masses.

The Rejection of Personal Ambition ("Get thee hence, Satan") When the Initiate reaches a High Level of Spiritual Understanding, the ego's darkest shadow presents its final trap: the desire to separate oneself from the Universal Mind to Reign Supreme as an isolated, Glorified Individual. Uttering "Get thee hence" is the Active, Conscious rejection of this trap. It is the Realization that all worldly kingdoms, titles, and material glories are transient illusions.

Serving the Infinite Light ("Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God...") To "worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" is the Ultimate Declaration of Spiritual Mastery. It signifies the Initiate's steadfast choice to:

Refuse the exploitation of Spiritual Knowledge for personal aggrandizement.

Dismantle the temptation of the separate self.

Remain a Pure, Unselfish Channel for the Infinite Light.

Ultimately, this verse encapsulates the profound Realization that True Power lies not in dominating the material world, but in dedicating One's Spiritual Faculties Entirely to the Universal Good and the Divine Will.
