God is ALL in All
This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.
"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."
"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."
The Superior Triangle (Supernal Triad) —an Equilateral Triangle pointing Upwards—is one of the most fundamental and Powerful geometric forms in Occult Philosophy. This Upward-Aiming geometry is the Universal symbol for the Element of Fire, the active masculine principle, and the Ascent of Consciousness. It represents the foundational Truth that All multiplicity and material experience Ultimately converge back into a Single Point of Divine Unity.
In Hermetic geometry and ceremonial Magic, the Upward-Pointing Triangle is the Ultimate emblem of Spiritual Aspiration and Projective Energy.
The Element of Fire: In classical alchemy, the Superior Triangle is the exact symbol for Fire. It visually mimics a Flame reaching toward the heavens. It represents the transformative, purifying, and active Spiritual Energy that consumes base matter and elevates it.
The Active Principle: Contrasted with the downward-pointing "Inferior Triangle" (representing Water, receptivity, and the descent of Spirit into matter), the Superior Triangle is the active, projective, and masculine Force of the Universe.
The Supernal Triad: In the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, it represents the three highest Sephirot (Kether, Chokmah, and Binah), which sit above the Abyss. It is the Divine blueprint of Creation before it fragments into the dense Reality of the lower material spheres.
Within Theosophy, this Triangle is the geometric representation of the Immortal, Eternal Aspect of the human constitution.
The Higher Triad: Esoteric Philosophy divides the human being into a lower material quaternary (the square) and a Higher Spiritual Triad (the Triangle). The Superior Triangle represents Atma (Spiritual Will), Buddhi (Intuition/Spiritual Soul), and Manas (Higher Mind). This is the Immortal Spark that survives the death of the physical body and reincarnates.
The Path of Return: The wide base of the Triangle represents the vast, diverse experiences of the material world. As the Soul evolves and ascends, the path narrows, culminating at the single, unified apex of Divine Consciousness.
Philosophically, the Triangle is the first geometric shape that can perfectly enclose a space, making it the mathematical foundation of all structure.
The Law of Synthesis: It embodies the philosophical dialectic: the bottom two points represent the fundamental duality of the Universe (Thesis and Antithesis, light and dark, male and female). The apex represents the Synthesis—the perfect reconciliation and elevation of those opposing Forces into a Higher, Unified Truth.
Pythagorean Perfection: To the ancient Pythagoreans, the number three (the Triad) was the first true number of harmony and completion, containing a beginning, a middle, and an end.
The Three-Sided Symbol
It is Universally tied to the concept of a Divine Trinity and the All-Seeing nature of the Creator.
The Holy Trinity: In Christian Mysticism, the equilateral Triangle is the Supreme symbol of the Holy Trinity (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit)—three distinct co-equal persons Unified in One Divine Essence.
The Eye of Providence: Frequently, the Superior Triangle is depicted enclosing the All-Seeing Eye of God (or a Yod, the first letter of the Tetragrammaton). This symbolizes the Omniscient, radiant Light of the Divine observing and guiding the Universe from the Highest Spiritual Plane.
