God is ALL in All
This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.
"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."
"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."
He That Overcometh
Conquering the Carnal Mind and the Triumph of the Spirit
In the study of scripture, the concept of Overcoming is frequently misunderstood as a call to outward battle or forceful action. However, True Spiritual Triumph requires a profound Inward Surrender. To Overcome a vice or habit simply means to cease to do it. It is the Conscious cessation of lower actions and the Absolute Conquering of the carnal Mind. The individual learns to Overcome anger by not being angered, to Overcome evil with good, to Overcome avarice through liberality, and to Overcome falsehoods with Truth. This Supreme Ability to Overcome proves the Inherent strength of the Spirit operating within the human vessel.
Through Faith in a Higher Power within, the individual gains the courage to Overcome any obstacle encountered in the human experience. This transformative process is fueled by the Understanding that God is Love, acting as a Consuming Fire that will eventually Overcome and consume every evil thought, evil desire, and evil imagination wherever it exists. In the Book of Revelation, the phrase "He That Overcometh" occurs exactly nine times, serving as a ladder for the Ascending Soul. It illustrates the final stages of the Great Work, wherein the lower animal desires are transmuted, culminating in the Ultimate Realization: "The last enemy to be Overcome is death".
Esoteric and Philosophical Significance of the Revelations
"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that Overcometh will I give to eat of the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God" - Revelation 2:7
The "Tree of Life" represents the restored, Awakened spinal current and the Vital Spiritual Centers of the human body. To eat of its fruit is to Consciously partake of the Eternal Divine Life Force, returning the Mind to the original, Unified State of "Paradise" before the illusion of material duality fractured human Consciousness.
"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that Overcometh shall not be hurt of the Second Death." - Revelation 2:11
The first death is the shedding of the physical body, but the "Second Death" refers to the dissolution of the lower astral and emotional vehicles. The individual who successfully Conquers their carnal Mind anchors their Consciousness Entirely in the Immortal Spirit, ensuring their Awareness survives intact beyond all material and astral decay.
"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that Overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it" - Revelation 2:17
The "hidden manna" is the Secret, Internal nourishment of the Christos Energy, sustaining the individual when worldly food cannot. The "white stone" is the Perfectly Purified, cleansed physical body—particularly the activated pineal gland. The "New Name" is the unique Vibrational signature or Cosmic Frequency attained by the Fully Illuminated Soul, understood only through Direct, Personal Gnosis.
"And he that Overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations. And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers; even as I received of my Father. And I will give him the morning star" - Revelation 2:26, 27
The "nations" do not represent geopolitical countries, but rather the unruly, warring passions and fragmented Thoughts of the Unawakened Mind. To rule them with a "rod of iron" is to exercise Absolute, Unwavering Spiritual Will and discipline over the lower self. The "Morning Star" is the dawning of the Solar Light within the Mind, signifying Complete Internal Illumination.
"He that Overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels" - Revelation 3:5
The "White Raiment" is the Luminous, Purified Etheric body—the "wedding garment" required for Spiritual Ascension. Having Purified the vessel, the individuals Consciousness is permanently recorded in the "Book of Life," representing the Eternal, Cosmic Memory of the Absolute, freeing them from the cycle of Unconscious Incarnation.
"Him that Overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name" - Revelation 3:12
To become a "Pillar" is to achieve architectural permanence in the Spiritual Realm; the Soul is no longer forced to "go out" into involuntary physical reincarnations. The "New Jerusalem" is the Perfected, Harmonized State of human Consciousness descending into the physical vessel, Transforming the individual into a Living, Breathing Temple of the Divine.
"To him that Overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne" - Revelation 3:21
This is the Ultimate Promise of the Great Work. The "Throne" represents the seat of Complete Mastery and Sovereign Divine Authority. The Individual Soul, having endured the crucible of physical existence, seamlessly merges with the Universal Logos, ruling the Microcosm of their Own Existence just as the Absolute rules the Macrocosm.
"He that Overcometh shall inherit All Things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my Son" - Revelation 21:7
This echoes the completion of the Soul's journey, much like the Prodigal Son returning home. Having ceased from doing evil and having conquered the Illusion of Separation, the individual reclaims their Divine Inheritance. The Illusion of a distant, External Deity dissolves, and the individual Realizes their True, Unbroken identity as a Conscious Emanation of the One Source.
