Absolute (The): The Unmanifested, Infinite, and Eternal Principle; the Ultimate Reality and Boundless Source from which All Existence Emanates and to which it Ultimately Returns.
Adept: An Advanced Spiritual Seeker who has Attained a High Degree of Internal Mastery. While a "Seeker" is still learning and struggling with their lower nature, an Adept has Successfully Disciplined their physical ego, Balanced their Internal Polarities, and Actively Applies Universal Law to maintain a Conscious Connection with the Divine Mind.
Akasha: A Sanskrit Term for the Subtle, Supersensuous Spiritual Essence which Pervades All Space. It is the Primordial Substance from which All Forms in the manifested Universe are Created.
Alchemy (Spiritual): In the Esoteric Tradition, Alchemy is not the literal, physical chemistry of turning lead into gold. Instead, it is the Profound Psychological and Spiritual Science of Transmuting the "lead" of the base, animalistic human ego into the Pure "Gold" of Enlightened, Divine Consciousness.
Astral Light: The Invisible, Ethereal region that surrounds the Earth, often described as a Cosmic picture gallery or the Akashic Records, where every Thought, Emotion, and Action is indelibly recorded.
Chakra: A Sanskrit word meaning "Wheel" or "Disk." It refers to the Vital Energy Centers within the Etheric and Astral bodies that act as Focal Points for the reception and distribution of Spiritual Energies.
Coagulation: The alchemical phase following Solutio (Dissolution). It represents the re-solidification and restructuring of the Newly Purified Soul. It is the process of anchoring high-frequency Spiritual Awareness back into a stable, physical foundation.
Dharma: The Universal Law of Duty, Righteousness, and Cosmic Order. On a personal level, it represents the specific path of Spiritual Evolution and Right Action belonging to an Individual.
Etheric Double: The Vital, Energetic blueprint or counterpart of the physical body. It is composed of Finer Etheric matter and serves as a Conductor for Prana (Life Force), linking the physical body to the Higher Vehicles of Consciousness.
Hermeticism: A Spiritual, Philosophical, and Alchemical Tradition based on the teachings attributed to Hermes Trismegistus. It is fundamentally anchored in the Principle of Correspondence, famously summarized by the Axiom, "As above, so below." It teaches that the Universe is governed by Immutable, Energetic mechanics (such as Mentalism, Polarity, and Rhythm) which dictate the operation of both the Physical and Spiritual Planes.
Infinite Mind (The ALL): The Supreme, Transcendent Divine Source. In Hermeticism, the Universe is Mental; Everything that Exists is a Thought held Within the Infinite Mind of The ALL.
Involution and Evolution: The Complete Cosmic Cycle of the Soul. Involution is the necessary descent of Pure, Unified Spiritual Consciousness down into the dense, restrictive realm of physical matter to gain experience. Evolution is the subsequent Ascent and Refinement of that Consciousness as it Journeys back to its Divine Source.
Karma: The Universal Law of Cause and Effect. It is the Infallible Principle of Cosmic Justice and Balance, ensuring that Every Action, Thought, and Word generates a corresponding reaction that the Soul must eventually reconcile.
Logos: The Divine Word or the Manifested Deity. It is the Active, Organizing Principle and Supreme Intelligence that Awakens the sleeping Universe into Active Manifestation.
Macrocosm: The "Great Universe" or Cosmic Whole. It represents the Overarching, Divine Macro-Structure of Reality and the Macro-Anatomy of the Universal Being.
Microcosm: The "Little Universe." In Esoteric Philosophy, this term almost exclusively refers to the human being, who is understood to be a miniature, exact Reflection of the Macrocosm, containing All the Elements and Principles of the Stars and the Cosmos Within Themselves.
Monad: The Divine Spark; the Immortal, Indivisible, and Ultimate Spiritual Essence Within human beings that originates directly from the Absolute and embarks on a long pilgrimage through matter to Attain Self-Conscious Immortality.
Occultism: Derived from the Latin Occultus (meaning Hidden or Concealed). It is the Scientific and Philosophical Study of the Hidden Laws of Nature, the Inner Workings of the Cosmos, and the Latent Spiritual Powers Within Humanity.
Prana: The Universal Life Force or Vital Breath that Permeates, Animates, and Sustains All Living Things Within the Physical Universe.
Separatio: The Alchemical Process of division. It is the Conscious, meditative act of identifying and separating the conflicting dualities of the lower nature (the ego and earthly desires) to Create a Clear, Unobstructed Path for Divine Light to pass through.
Septenary Law: The Esoteric Doctrine that the Universe and man are fundamentally constructed upon a Sevenfold Foundation. It teaches that All of Nature is divided into Seven Distinct Planes, Principles, and States of Consciousness.
Solutio: The Alchemical phase of dissolution, often symbolized by water or a flood. It is the necessary Psychic Purification where old, rigid, and corrupted material habits and ego-structures are Washed Away so the Spirit can be reborn at a Higher Vibration.

The Great Work (Magnum Opus): The Ultimate Goal of Spiritual Alchemy. It is the Arduous, Lifetime dedication to Purifying the Physical Vessel, Mastering the Mind, and Successfully Transmuting the localized human ego back into a State of Immortal, Unified Consciousness.
The Kybalion: A Foundational Esoteric text published in 1908 that distills the Core Teachings of Hermetic Philosophy into Seven Universal Principles. It serves as a primary operational manual for Understanding how Spiritual and Physical Laws Govern Reality.
Theosophy: Literally meaning "Divine Wisdom" (from the Greek Theos and Sophia). It is the synthesis of True Science, True Religion, and True Philosophy, representing the unbroken lineage of Ageless Wisdom handed down through the Ancient Mystery Schools.
