God is ALL in All
This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.
"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."
"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."
Genesis Chapter Thirteen
1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.
2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
3 And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;
4 Unto the place of the altar, which he had make there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the Lord.
5 And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.
12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.
14 And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the Lord.
Esoteric Interpretation & Commentary
The Hermetic Blueprint of Genesis: The Separation of Wills and the Expansion of Vision
"Following the Profound Alchemical trial in Egypt, Genesis Chapter Thirteen illustrates a necessary Psychological separation. Abram represents the Awakened Spiritual Will, while his nephew Lot represents the lingering, unrefined attachments of the lower analytical Mind. In Spiritual Alchemy, a single vessel cannot simultaneously serve two masters or hold two conflicting frequencies. The 'strife' between their camps is the internal friction of a Mind trying to balance Divine aspiration with worldly desire. This chapter details the Conscious shedding of that lower attachment, which immediately results in a massive expansion of Spiritual Perception."
Verses 1-4: The Return to the Anchor Point - "And Abram went up out of Egypt... rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold."
Abram’s exit from Egypt signifies the successful completion of the Soul's trial in the dense material world. The "silver and gold" he brings back are not literal riches, but the Refined Alchemical Wisdom and Spiritual Strength extracted from overcoming physical temptation. Returning to the altar "between Bethel and Hai" represents the Conscious Mind purposefully re-centering itself. The Adept is returning to their foundational Spiritual anchor point to integrate the lessons learned in the lower realms.
Verses 5-9: The Internal Strife and the Necessity of Separation - "And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great..."
Esoterically, the Mind (the land) cannot simultaneously sustain the High-Frequency Vibration of the Spiritual Will (Abram) and the heavy, earth-bound desires of the lower attachments (Lot). The "strife between the herdmen" is the Psychological dissonance and anxiety experienced when an individual tries to Walk the Path of Light while still clinging to the comforts of the material ego. Abram’s declaration, "Let there be no strife... separate thyself from me," is the decisive Alchemical act of cutting away the dead weight. The Higher Mind Consciously chooses Peace and Unity over internal division.
Verses 10-13: The Illusion of the Material Plain - "And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where... like the land of Egypt."
Given the choice, the lower Mind (Lot) immediately gravitates toward sensory comfort and material abundance. He looks at the plain of Jordan and sees that it resembles "the land of Egypt"—the very place of material bondage they just escaped. Lot pitching his tent "toward Sodom" is a profound warning. Sodom represents the absolute lowest, most dense, and corrupted vibration of the physical plane. By choosing the easy, materially rich path, the lower ego unknowingly walks itself directly back into Spiritual death and crystallization.
Verses 14-18: The Reward of Separation and the Omnidirectional Mind - "And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward..."
This is a critical Esoteric Law: Divine Illumination can only fully expand after the lower, limiting attachments have been cut away. The moment Lot leaves, the Infinite Mind speaks. Abram is commanded to look in All Four cardinal directions. This represents the Awakening of the Omnidirectional Consciousness—the Mind is no longer trapped in narrow, linear, material Thinking, but can perceive the Vast, Unified Reality of the Divine. By moving his tent to the plain of Mamre (meaning "strength" or "fatness") and building a new altar, Abram anchors this new, massively expanded Spiritual Awareness firmly into the physical vessel.
