God is ALL in All
This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.
"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."
"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."
The KJV Holy Bible
Genesis Chapter Twelve
1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.
6 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.
7 And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him.
8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the Lord, and called upon the name of the Lord.
9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.
10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.
11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:
12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.
13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.
14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.
15 The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.
16 And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.
17 And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife.
18 And Pharaoh called Abram and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?
19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.
20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.
Esoteric Interpretation & Commentary
The Hermetic Blueprint of Genesis: The Call of the Adept and the Path of Initiation
"With Genesis Chapter Twelve, the Esoteric narrative makes a Profound Shift from the Macrocosmic Evolution of humanity to the Intimate, Internalized Journey of the Individual Seeker. Abram represents the Awakened Spiritual Will—the emerging Adept. His calling is the initiation of the Conscious Magnum Opus (The Great Work). The story of Abram is the blueprint for Every Soul that hears the Inner Voice of the Infinite Mind, demanding that they leave behind the comfortable illusions of societal conditioning and embark on the Arduous Alchemical quest to Discover the 'Promised Land' of Illuminated Consciousness."
Verses 1-4: The Departure from the Material Illusion - "Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house..."
This is the Ultimate Command of Spiritual Detachment. To begin the path of Initiation, the Seeker (Abram) must separate entirely from their "country" (the Collective Mindset of the Masses), their "kindred" (familial and societal expectations), and their "father's house" (generational Karmic conditioning). It requires walking blindly into the unknown, guided only by Faith in the Higher Spiritual Intuition. The promise to make Abram a "great nation" means that out of this Single, Disciplined point of Awakened Consciousness, a Vast, Powerful, and Perfected Inner Kingdom will eventually be born. Abram takes Lot with him, representing the lingering attachments to the lower, analytical Mind that the Seeker is not yet ready to completely release.
Verses 5-9: Entering the Land and the Crystallized Ego - "And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem... and the Canaanite was then in the land."
When Abram arrives in Canaan, the Promised Land is not empty. The text pointedly notes that "the Canaanite was then in the land." Esoterically, the Promised Land is the Mind, and the Canaanites represent the deeply entrenched, crystallized habits and lower passions that currently occupy the Seeker's Consciousness. Enlightenment is not handed over freely; the territory must be claimed. By building altars unto the Lord at Sichem and Bethel, Abram is establishing Spiritual anchor points. He is purposefully grounding High-Frequency Divine Energy into the dense physical vessel, consecrating his Inner Landscape for the coming Alchemical work.
Verses 10-13: The Famine and the Descent into the Body - "And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there..."
In the Spiritual Journey, a "famine" represents a period of Profound Spiritual dryness—the "Dark Night of the Soul"—where Higher Inspiration seems to vanish. To survive this, Abram must go "down into Egypt." In the Hermetic tradition, Egypt Universally symbolizes the dense, heavy, sensory-driven physical body and the material world. The descent into Egypt is a necessary Alchemical trial. Abram asks his wife Sarai to present herself as his sister. Sarai represents the Pure, Radiant Spiritual Soul (the feminine/receptive principle). Abram knows that if the ruling material ego (Pharaoh) recognizes her True Power, it will try to kill the Spiritual Will (Abram) to possess her completely.
Verses 14-20: The Trial of the Soul and the Extraction of Gold - "And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife..."
Pharaoh (the lower material ego) takes Sarai into his house, attempting to absorb the Pure Spiritual Light into the base physical nature. But the lower vessel cannot contain such a High-Frequency Vibration without severe consequences. The resulting "plagues" are the physical and Psychological dissonance that occurs when the ego tries to unlawfully usurp Divine Energy for selfish gain. Realizing the danger, Pharaoh expels Abram and Sarai. However, Abram leaves Egypt "rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold." This is the Ultimate Victory of this Alchemical stage: the Seeker descended into the darkest depths of the material plane, faced its trials, protected their Spiritual Core, and Extracted the Vital Lessons, Wisdom, and Alchemical "Gold" necessary to continue the Great Work.
