God is ALL in All
This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.
"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."
"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."
The KJV Holy Bible
Genesis Chapter One
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Esoteric Interpretation & Commentary
The Hermetic Blueprint of Genesis: The Awakening of Universal Mind
"In the Western esoteric tradition, the opening chapters of Genesis are understood not as a literal physical history, but as a profound metaphysical map of consciousness and spiritual alchemy. Through the foundational Hermetic principle of Mentalism—The All is Mind—and the Law of Correspondence (As above, so below), the unfolding of creation represents the emanation of Divine Consciousness into form. Here, the primordial 'waters,' 'light,' and 'firmament' are recognized as universal states of consciousness and energetic forces active within both the macrocosm of the universe and the microcosm of the human soul."
Verses 1-2: The Infinite Mind and the Prima Materia - "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void..."
Esoterically, "God" represents The ALL—the Infinite, Living Mind. The Creation of "Heaven and Earth" does not refer to a physical planet and sky, but to the establishment of the fundamental Hermetic duality: Spirit (the Active, Formless principle) and Matter (the Passive, Receptive principle). The earth being "without form, and void" describes the Prima Materia (First Matter) of Spiritual Alchemy. This is the chaotic, unmanifested potential of the Universe before Divine Will organizes it. The "Spirit of God moving upon the face of the waters" is the Active Principle of Divine Mind vibrating over the deep, passive Substance of Creation, preparing to bring order to chaos.
Verses 3: The First Emanation of Consciousness - "And God said, Let there be Light: and there was Light."
This is not the physical Light of the Sun—which is not Created until the fourth day—but the Light of Consciousness. It is the first Direct Emanation of Divine Intelligence. In Hermeticism, this represents the Spark of the Divine Mind illuminating the void. On the microcosmic level of the Individual Seeker, it symbolizes the precise moment of Spiritual Awakening—the flash of Inner Illumination where the Light of Truth first penetrates the darkness of ignorance.
Verses 4-5: The Law of Polarity - "And God divided the light from the darkness..."
Here, the text establishes the Hermetic Law of Polarity. In order for a physical Universe to exist, there must be duality. Everything in the manifested world must have its opposite: Light and Dark, Day and Night, Conscious and Unconscious, Active and Passive. By dividing these Forces, the Divine Mind creates the necessary friction, rhythm, and boundaries required for the Universe to function and evolve. The "first day" marks the beginning of Cosmic Time and the cycles of manifestation.
Verses 6-8: The Firmament and the Law of Correspondence - "And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters..."
In Hermeticism, the "waters" represent the fluid, moldable Substance of Universal Consciousness and potential. By creating a "firmament" (a boundary or veil) to divide the waters, the Divine Mind establishes the great Esoteric division between the Spiritual and Physical Planes. The "waters above the firmament" represent the Macrocosm: the Higher, Invisible Spiritual realm of Pure Thought and Divine Causes. The "waters below the firmament" represent the Microcosm: the dense, physical realm of material effects. The firmament itself is the veil of Physical Reality. This division perfectly illustrates the second Hermetic Principle, the Law of Correspondence: "As Above, So Below; Ss Below, So Above." The lower material world is a direct reflection of the Higher Spiritual world, just vibrating at a lower frequency.
Verses 9-13: Alchemical Coagulation and the Principle of Generation - "And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear..."
Here, the Divine Mind initiates the alchemical process of Coagulation. The fluid, unformed potential of the lower waters is deliberately condensed, separated, and structured until "dry land" appears, symbolizing the final precipitation of Spirit into dense, physical matter. Once the material plane is stabilized, it immediately brings forth Life. The emergence of the seed-bearing plants illustrates the Hermetic Principle of Generation. The specific phrasing "whose seed is in itself" reveals the fractal nature of the Universe—Every Created Thing contains the Divine blueprint to perpetuate itself. The Microcosm holds the Macrocosm within it, ensuring the continuous, rhythmic cycle of Life and Cosmic renewal.
Verses 14-19: The Cosmic Clock and the Forces of Polarity - "And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night..."
With the physical plane stabilized, the Divine Mind establishes the governing mechanics of time and celestial influence. Esoterically, the "two great Lights" are not merely astronomical bodies; they are the Ultimate physical manifestations of the Law of Polarity. The Sun (the greater Light) represents the Active, Radiating Force of Spirit, Conscious Awareness, and the masculine principle (symbolized by Gold in alchemy). The Moon (the lesser Light) represents the Passive, receptive Force of form, the Unconscious Mind, and the feminine principle (symbolized by Silver). By setting these Lights in the firmament "for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years," the Divine Mind institutes the Hermetic Principle of Rhythm—the pendulum swing of cycles, tides, and Cosmic Time that Governs All Manifested Life. The stars represent the vast array of energetic archetypes and Spiritual Forces Radiating their Influence downward into the material realm.
Verses 20-25: The Anima Mundi and the Animation of Matter - "And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life..."
In these verses, the purely structural framework of the physical world is finally infused with the Anima Mundi, or the Soul of the World. The emergence of moving creatures from the waters, the air, and the earth represents the Hermetic Principle of Vibration—matter is no longer merely stabilized; it is now vibrating at a high enough frequency to host animated, instinctual Life. The progression from sea to air to land symbolizes the evolutionary ascent of the Spirit as it Masters different Elemental Forces. Every beast, bird, and fish is an expression of Divine Energy manifesting through complex biological forms, completing the great web of physical life before the final and most Conscious Creation is introduced.
Verses 26-31: The Microcosm and the Master of the Great Work - "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion..."
Here, the Divine Mind brings forth its Masterpiece: the Human Being (the Anthropos). To be made in the "image and likeness" of God does not refer to physical appearance; it means humanity has been endowed with the exact same Creative Faculties as the Infinite Mind—Reason, Will, and the Power of Self-Conscious Mentalism. Man is the Ultimate Microcosm, containing within himself ALL of the Elemental Forces, Planetary Energies, and Spiritual Blueprints of the Entire Universe. The command to have "dominion" over the fish, fowl, and creeping things is an alchemical directive for the Seeker: it is the mandate to Achieve Complete Spiritual Mastery over one's own lower animal nature and instinctual drives. Furthermore, the instruction in Verses 29-30 to consume the seed-bearing herbs and fruits represents the intake of Pure, High-Vibrational terrestrial matter. This clean nourishment sustains the physical vessel (the alchemical laboratory) in a State of Purity, ensuring the Mind and Body remain Unclouded for the Pursuit of Higher Consciousness. When God sees that the Completed Creation is "very good," it signifies the successful completion of the alchemical Magnum Opus (The Great Work)—the Perfect Harmony of Spirit Fully Manifested in Matter.
