God is ALL in All
This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.
"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."
"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."
Exodus Chapter Twenty Four
1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
2 And Moses alone shall come near the Lord: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the Lord hath said will we do.
4 And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the Lord.
6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient.
8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words.
9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
12 And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
13 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.
14 And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.
15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
16 And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
17 And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
Esoteric Interpretation & Commentary
The Hermetic Blueprint of Exodus: The Sapphire Vision and the Ascent into the Divine Void
"Exodus Chapter Twenty-Four marks the grand ratification of the Great Work's foundational phase. The Internal Psychological Hierarchy has been ordered, and the Universal Laws have been delivered. Now, this Cosmic Covenant must be Energetically Sealed. This chapter details the Profound Alchemical binding of the lower faculties to the Divine Spirit through the ritual of the blood, followed by a breathtaking Ascent where the Illuminated Intellect is permitted to gaze upon the crystalline Purity of the Spiritual Plane. Ultimately, it reveals the final, terrifying, and necessary isolation of the Spiritual Will as it leaves all logic and reason behind to Enter the Devouring Fire of the Absolute for a Complete Cycle of Transmutation."
Verses 1-4: The Architecture of the Microcosm - "And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off... And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel."
Before the Highest Ascent can occur, the New Spiritual Paradigm must be anchored firmly into the physical and Psychological foundation of the Adept. The altar built "under the hill" Represents the Dedication of the Physical Body and the Lower Mind. The "twelve pillars" Represent the complete Zodiacal Forces of the Microcosm—the Twelve Fundamental Faculties of the human Soul. By establishing these pillars around the altar, the Adept mathematically aligns their Entire Psychological Architecture, ensuring that every aspect of their being is structured to support the weight of the Divine Law.
Verses 6-8: The Sealing of the Astral Blood - "And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people... And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you concerning all these words."
In Hermeticism, blood is the physical condensation of the Vital, Spiritualized Life Force—the Active Energetic currency of the Soul. By dividing the blood perfectly in half—sprinkling one half on the altar (the Divine Will) and the other half on the people (the lower human faculties)—the Spiritual Will enacts a Profound Energetic Binding. The human Mind and the Universal Spirit are now locked into an Immutable, Sympathetic Resonance. The lower nature is Contractually and Energetically committed to the Great Work; the Vital Life Force of the Adept is now Entirely Dedicated to Maintaining this Divine Union.
Verses 9-11: The Sapphire Pavement and the Clarity of the Akasha - "Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink."
This is one of the most stunning Mystical Visions in the text. The 70 elders represent the Fully Expanded, Illuminated rational Intellect. Because they have been Purified and Bound by the Covenant, they are permitted to Ascend and Perceive the Boundary of the Divine. The "sapphire stone" and the "clearness of heaven" represent the Akasha—the Pure, Undisturbed, Crystalline Mental Plane. It is the Deep Blue, Perfectly Still Reflection of Universal Truth, Untainted by Earthly Emotional Turbulence. Because their frequency has been raised, the Divine Force does not destroy them ("laid not his hand"). They are able to exist in the presence of the Absolute and still "eat and drink"—meaning they can Consciously Process, Assimilate, and Sustain Themselves on Pure Spiritual Revelation without losing their Mental cohesion.
Verses 12-14: The Separation of the Will from the Intellect - "And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written... And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them."
While the Illuminated Intellect (the elders and Aaron) can perceive the clear pavement of heaven, it cannot enter the Absolute. To receive the permanent, immutable structures of Light ("tables of stone"), the Spiritual Will (Moses) must Ascend alone. He leaves Aaron (Rational Logic) and Hur (Purified Emotion) behind to govern the lower camp. This is a Supreme Esoteric Truth: to Achieve Ultimate Gnosis and Merge with the Divine Mind, the Adept must eventually abandon all human logic, all reasoning, and all emotional constructs. The Intellect can only take you to the threshold; the naked Will must enter the void alone.
Verses 15-18: The Devouring Fire and the Cycle of Forty - "And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount... And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights."
To the lower faculties looking up, the Presence of the Divine appears as a "devouring fire"—a terrifying Force that consumes all earthly illusions and physical attachments. But the Spiritual Will walks fearlessly directly into this Fire, which is veiled in a thick cloud (the Mystery of the Unmanifest). Moses remains in this State for "Forty Days and Forty Nights." In Occult numerology, Forty Represents a Complete Cycle of Gestation, Trial, and Total Alchemical Transmutation (as seen in the rain of Noah's ark, or the time spent in the wilderness). The Will is Completely Absorbed into the Divine Mind, gestating in the void, being utterly transformed before it can return to build the True Internal Temple (the Tabernacle) in the chapters to come.
