God is ALL in All

This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.

"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."

"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."

The Astral World: The Realm of Desire, Illusion, and Form

"The Astral Light is the Universal plastic mediator, the common receptacle of all vibrations of motion and of all images of form. It is the great register of earthly life, the matrix of all phenomena, and the invisible bridge between the material and the Divine."

In the Esoteric study of the Universe, the physical plane we perceive with our five senses is merely the densest, most crystallized fraction of existence. Immediately beyond, and entirely interpenetrating the physical world, lies the Astral World—a vast, dynamic, and highly active dimension of subtle matter. Often referred to in antiquity as the Anima Mundi or the Astral Light, this realm is the primary domain of emotion, desire, and illusion. It is not a distant location separated by space, but rather a dimension separated by a higher, finer rate of vibration.

For the serious student of the Ancient Wisdom, understanding the mechanics of the Astral World is an absolute necessity, as it is the environment humanity navigates nightly during sleep, the immediate destination of the Soul after physical death, and the canvas upon which our daily thoughts and feelings are painted into objective reality.

I. The Architecture and Density of the Astral Plane

Just as physical matter exists in varying degrees of density (solid, liquid, gas, and etheric), esoteric science teaches that the Astral World is divided into seven distinct sub-planes. These are not stacked like shelves, but interpenetrate one another based on the refinement of their atomic vibration.

The Lower Sub-Planes: The lowest and densest levels of the astral world are vibrating with heavy, coarse energy. This region is often associated with the orthodox concepts of "Hell" or "Purgatory." It is characterized by base desires, sensual appetites, malice, and materialistic cravings that can no longer be satisfied without a physical body.

The Middle Sub-Planes: These regions closely resemble earthly life, often functioning as idealized or memory-based replicas of the physical world. It is here that the majority of humanity initially finds itself upon falling asleep or transitioning through death.

The Higher Sub-Planes: The finest levels of the astral realm are radiant, luminous, and entirely devoid of gross material forms. They are populated by those whose emotions are centered on altruism, spiritual devotion, and unconditional love.

II. The Plasticity of Astral Matter and Thought-Forms

The most defining characteristic of the Astral World is its extreme plasticity. In the physical world, creating a form requires physical labor and time. In the Astral World, Matter is instantly molded by Thought and Feeling.

When a human being generates a strong emotion or a concentrated thought, it immediately displaces astral matter, creating a temporary, objective entity known as a Thought-Form or Artificial Elemental.

A thought of pure love or healing radiates as a beautiful, geometric, and luminous form that travels to its intended recipient, acting as a protective or uplifting force.

Conversely, a thought of intense hatred, jealousy, or anger coagulates into a dark, malformed, and jagged entity that lingers in the astral atmosphere, seeking to attach itself to vibrations of a similar nature. Because of this mechanical law, esoteric philosophy emphasizes the supreme importance of Mental Discipline and the purification of one's desires.

III. The Kama-Loka and the After-Death State

In Theosophical terminology, the Astral World serves as the Kama-Loka (The Place of Desire). It is the transitional state between physical death and the Soul's entry into the higher heavenly world (Devachan).

When the physical body is discarded at death, the Soul finds itself clothed in its Astral Body. Because the individual has lost the physical mechanism to fulfill earthly desires (eating, drinking, sensual pleasures, material hoarding), those desires slowly burn themselves out through lack of fuel. This process of shedding the lower, animalistic attachments is the true nature of "purgatory." It is not a place of divine punishment, but a purely mechanical process of purification. Once the heavy, coarse astral matter is exhausted, the Soul is freed to ascend into the higher mental planes, retaining only the pure, noble, and spiritual experiences of its past life.

IV. The Inhabitants of the Astral World

The Astral Plane is densely populated by a wide variety of entities, which can be broadly categorized into three classes:

The Living: Humanity constantly interacts with the astral realm. When the physical body sleeps, the consciousness withdraws into the Astral Body and navigates this plane, bringing back distorted memories in the form of dreams. Conscious astral projection is the act of a trained initiate leaving the physical body with full waking awareness.

The Dead: This includes those who have recently discarded their physical bodies and are undergoing the natural process of transition and purification before moving on to higher spheres.

Non-Human Entities: The astral world teems with elemental life—nature spirits, the "fairies" and "sylphs" of folklore, and powerful angelic or Deva evolutions whose normal state of consciousness operates entirely outside of physical matter.

V. The Danger of the Astral Glamour (Maya)

Every major esoteric tradition issues a strict warning regarding the Astral World: It is the Realm of Illusion. Because astral matter is instantly shaped by desire, belief, and expectation, it is incredibly deceptive. A person with strong religious conditioning may temporarily perceive the exact heavens or hells they expect to see, completely manufactured by their own subconscious beliefs.

For the Spiritual Seeker, the Astral World is not the final destination, nor is it the Source of True Spiritual Light. It is a dense, swirling fog of humanity's collective emotions that must be courageously navigated, Mastered, and transcended in order to reach the Absolute Clarity of the Higher Mental and Spiritual Planes.
