God is ALL in All
This is a Philosophical and Spiritual endeavor to extract, Harmonize, and synthesize the Universal Truths underlying the world's Diverse Religious, Mystical, and Philosophical traditions. Most famously associated with the concept of Perennial Philosophy, it posits that All Major Traditions share a single, transcendent metaphysical Source and Core Set of Truths.
"By the Power of Truth, I, while Living, have Conquered the Universe."
"I Am Nothing, yet I Am Everything."
V - The Hierophant
Psalm 119 (41–48)
41 Let Thy Mercies come also unto Me, O LORD, even Thy Salvation, according to Thy Word.
42 So Shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I Trust in Thy Word.
43 And take not the Word of Truth utterly out of My Mouth; for I have hoped in Thy Judgments.
44 So Shall I keep Thy Law Continually Forever and Ever.
45 And I Will Walk at Liberty: for I Seek Thy Precepts.
46 I Will Speak of Thy Testimonies also before kings, and Will Not Be Ashamed.
47 And I Will Delight Myself in Thy Commandments, which I Have Loved.
48 My hands also Will I Lift Up unto Thy Commandments, which I Have Loved; and I Will Meditate in Thy Statutes.
Vav (ו)
The Kabbalistic Path of Vav
On the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, Vav is the 16th Path, connecting Chokmah (Wisdom) to Chesed (Mercy). The Hebrew letter Vav translates to "Nail" or "Hook." Esoterically, it is the Fundamental Binding Agent of the Universe, pinning the Higher Spiritual Frequencies of the Divine Mind into the Structural, Organized Foundation of Human Society and Religious Institution.
The Arcana Symbolism - The Hierophant (V)
If the High Priestess is the silent guardian of the Secret Church and Concealed Wisdom, The Hierophant is the Ruling Power of external religion and exoteric orthodox doctrine. He is the channel of grace belonging to the world of institution, rendering the Divine accessible to the human race at large.
The Crown and Sceptre
He wears the imposing, Three-Tiered papal tiara and holds a sceptre terminating in the Triple Cross, Representing his Dominion over the Three worlds (Heaven, Earth, and the Underworld) and the sum of theological doctrine.
The Two Ministers
Kneeling before him are two priestly ministers wearing rich blue and gold patterned vestments. This represents the structured transmission of sacred tradition; the Hierophant does not work in isolation, but through an established hierarchy.
The Crossed Keys
Resting on the Red cushion at his feet are the crossed Gold Keys. These are the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, symbolizing his authority to bind and loose, and his Command over the outer side of the Life which leads to the doctrine.
The Sign of Esotericism
His Right Hand is raised, with Two fingers pointing Up and Two folded Down. This is the ecclesiastical sign of benediction, but Esoterically, it Actively Distinguishes between the manifest (the Two fingers raised) and the Concealed (the Two fingers hidden) parts of the doctrine.
The Alchemical Transmutation (Verses 41-48):
The verses of Vav capture the essence of the "Nail"—the firm connection between the adept and the Divine Law. The stanza opens with a plea for that connection to manifest outwardly: "Let Thy Mercies come also unto Me, O LORD, even Thy Salvation."
The Alchemy of The Hierophant is the Realization that True Freedom is found not in formless rebellion, but within a rigorous, perfected framework. The adept declares in verse 45, "And I Will Walk at Liberty: for I Seek Thy Precepts." Because the Hierophant governs public, institutional religion, the adept gains the structural confidence to proclaim the Truth outwardly: "I Will Speak of Thy Testimonies also before kings, and Will Not Be Ashamed" (verse 46). Finally, verse 48 perfectly mirrors the visual of the Hierophant’s raised Right hand: "My hands also Will I Lift Up unto Thy Commandments."
